Phase gate is a structured process to review, evaluate, and document outcomes in each project phase and to provide management with information to guide resource deployment toward strategic goals.
At minimum each gate should include three components:
· 1. Required deliverables
· 2. Gate criteria and specific outputs
· 3. A clear yes or no decision on whether to go ahead
